Planable and Ignis agree on something most tools get wrong: the billable unit should be the client, not the person. Planable charges per workspace with unlimited users inside it, which is the right shape. Where they part company is what that price contains. Planable’s social inbox is a separate add-on, and when you buy it you get comments and Facebook and Instagram DMs but no WhatsApp. On Ignis the inbox and the approval portal are both in the plan. If your clients message you on WhatsApp, that is the whole decision.
What Planable charges, read at source
From Planable’s pricing page, read in a browser on 2026-10-20, Yearly toggle on:
- Basic, $33 per workspace per month: 60 posts per workspace per month, 4 social pages per workspace, 2 types of approval, unlimited users.
- Pro, $49 per workspace per month: 150 posts per workspace per month, 10 social pages per workspace, 3 types of approval, unlimited users.
- Enterprise: custom pricing, unlimited posts, multi-level approvals, and the analytics and social inbox add-ons included rather than charged.
- Social Inbox is an add-on on the paid plans: $7.50 per workspace per month on annual billing, $9 on monthly. It covers comments for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, and DMs for Facebook and Instagram.
- Prices are shown with the Yearly toggle on, which is the page default, and annual billing gives two months free.
The post cap is the part worth reading twice. Basic allows 60 posts per workspace a month and Pro allows 150, so a busy client on Pro has about five posts a day across every channel before the workspace runs out. Ignis Growth and Agency do not meter posts.
So a Pro workspace with the inbox is $56.50 a month, about AED 207 at the dirham peg. Five clients on Pro with the inbox is $282.50, roughly AED 1,037 a month, since each workspace carries both charges, and that buys 150 posts a month in each of them.
Credit where it is due: unlimited users per workspace is more generous than Ignis’s ten seats before AED 5.50 a head, and if your team is large and your client list short, Planable is the better buy on seats alone.
The same unit, a different bill
Ignis Agency is AED 49 a month for the first client workspace with ten members, then AED 29 for each additional client workspace. Five client workspaces are AED 165 a month, ten are AED 310, thirty are AED 890. Annual is ten times the monthly figure, so two months are free.
Compare like for like, on annual billing, since that is how Planable’s page displays by default. Five Ignis client workspaces are AED 1,650 for the year, which works out at AED 27.50 per client workspace per month. Five Planable Pro workspaces with the inbox add-on are $282.50 a month, about AED 1,037, so roughly AED 12,450 across the year.
That gap is not a rounding difference, and it is structural rather than promotional: Planable charges the full workspace rate for every client, where Ignis charges AED 29 for clients after the first and does not price the inbox separately at all. The social media tax calculator runs the same comparison across six scheduling tools by channel count.
The white-label approval portal is included on Growth and Agency. It is not an add-on and it has no separate price.
The add-on does not carry WhatsApp
Planable’s inbox add-on, by its own description, covers comments on four platforms and DMs on two: Facebook and Instagram. WhatsApp is not in it.
Ignis carries Instagram DMs, Messenger and WhatsApp as conversations in one list per client, with comments and mentions from Facebook, Instagram and YouTube beside them, and shows the time left on a reply window while you are reading the message. A WhatsApp number connects self-serve, the same as every other platform, and carries real two-way messaging and message templates. The honest bound: our production proof is a connection made through that flow, so read it as working rather than as guaranteed for every business on day one.
For an agency anywhere that customers reach on WhatsApp, which is most of the Gulf, this is the difference between one tool and two.
Where Planable covers more than Ignis
Unlimited users per workspace, as above. Ignis includes ten members and charges AED 5.50 for each one past that.
Platform coverage. Ignis publishes to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube, and does not publish to X, Pinterest or Snapchat. If a client needs one of those three, Ignis cannot be the only tool in the stack.
LinkedIn comments and mentions do not reach the Ignis inbox, and Planable’s add-on does carry LinkedIn comments. Ignis connects and publishes to LinkedIn, but the comments do not come back, because LinkedIn’s Community Management API withholds its notification product at the access tier Ignis holds. If LinkedIn comment management is central to the work, that is a point for Planable.
Threads is unavailable through Ignis entirely: Meta has the app in development mode with its permissions rejected and a resubmission pending.
There is a browser image editor and a multi-track video editor, with export sized for each platform.
Who should switch
Switch if you are paying the workspace rate plus the inbox rate for every client and the WhatsApp conversations still land somewhere else. Stay with Planable if your team is big enough that unlimited seats beats ten, if LinkedIn comments are the job, or if a client publishes to a platform Ignis does not reach.
Questions people ask
Is there a cheaper Planable alternative for five clients?
On annual billing, five Ignis client workspaces are AED 1,650 for the year, AED 27.50 per client workspace per month, with the approval portal and the inbox included and no cap on posts. Five Planable Pro workspaces at $49 each plus the $7.50 inbox add-on each come to $282.50 a month, about AED 1,037, and cap each workspace at 150 posts a month. Figures read from Planable’s pricing page in a browser on 2026-10-20, with the Yearly toggle on.
Does Planable’s inbox include WhatsApp?
No. Its add-on covers comments for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, and DMs for Facebook and Instagram only. Ignis carries WhatsApp in the same inbox as Instagram DMs and Messenger.
Do I pay extra for the client approval portal on Ignis?
No. It is included on Growth and Agency and has no separate price. Basic does not include it.
How many users does Ignis include per client workspace?
Ten members, then AED 5.50 for each additional member. Planable includes unlimited users per workspace, which is more generous on that specific point.
Can Ignis replace Planable for LinkedIn comment approvals?
Not for the comments. Ignis publishes to LinkedIn and schedules it, but LinkedIn comments and mentions do not reach the Ignis inbox at its current API access tier.
